So, I’m definitely very late in terms of getting Kanji2.0 up and running (thank you for all the e-mails, too!). I just wanted to make sure I put out a blog-post-update out there so that people could get new estimations on where it’s at.
Here’s the quick and skinny on it: Each kanji narrative is taking a lot longer than I thought to write (good thing and a bad thing, I think. The more time I can put in each one the better they’ll be when they’re finished! … but at the same time they take longer to write, and I know you’re all very patiently waiting!). The more I worked on Kanji2.0, the more ways I found to improve on stuff (which includes both simplifying things down to a prettier core as well as working on some new things too!). I definitely have a good layout now for things, and I should have a preview version of the first 6-7 chapters for members of TextFugu sometime later this week. At that point I’ll probably put the new content up in a separate drop-down so that you can still use “Legacy” Kanji 1.0 as well as the new one, depending on where you’re at. From there, I’ll just add new sections as I have them done, probably catching up to Kanji1.0 a week or two after the preview is up (I’m on a roll, now, I think, partly thanks to my new “office”).
I also wanted to thank everyone for the patience. You guys are all really awesome and patient! I really appreciate it, and it helps me to focus on what’s important (getting good content out to you all!). Thank you very much!
P.S. I just found an awesome t-shirt making company in Portland. That can only mean one thing… hmmm.

I want to wear that fugu on a T-Shirt. I would look so much cooler than those nutters at the mall with wizard capes and crystal balls XD (I am so serious, they exist, and they don't even get respect from the tacky home-made cosplayers looking for a non-existent convention)
Thanks for the update, though! I'm really pumped for Kanji 2.0, as I am very sluggish with the current version. That new “office” of yours seems like a great idea; even I have found that I get more work done in a cafe than at home. And honestly, $13 a day is probably less than what most people pay for 2 meals, coffee, AND internet. Hope it helps you along with the new Kanji sections!
aye aye, it is. Spent all morning working on kanji2.0, actually! I'm loving
the “new office” a lot :)
I think kanji 2.0 will help with the sluggishness too. At the very least,
you'll spend the same amount of time but retain so much more. I get more
excited the more that I finish, it's like a snowball rolling down a hill!
I am excited as well I am just at the point of starting the actual Kanji and have been dragging my feet hoping for the new version.. When you say you may have 6-7 chapters to preview is that meaning on the Kanji side of things or the redo of the Radicals.. either way works as it probably won't hurt to review those and really get them solid but just wondered which way you meant..

Some redoing of everything, actually! It should go nicely with the current
version, though it'll be different in plenty of ways. You can keep studying
Kanji1.0, it definitely wouldn't hurt but doing a review through to see the
changes and such will be helpful as well!
Sorry that this has nothing to do with the main subject. I just wanted to say thank you very much for the new “pricing-thing”. Since I'm now a student again, I really can't afford $120 at a time. So its just perfect for me to pay the $20 monthly. So in a few weeks I'll be able to Sign Up to TextFugu. Thanks again. Have a nice day.

rock on :)
Woohoo! Looking forward to the update :)
I need my own office room, this 1LDK apartment is a bit small for us, but I've managed to keep my focus on work and study up till now. It's a good challenge.
