How do you do small tsu with a OS X?
I’ve already configured my settings for hiragana but I don’t know how to make a small tsu:)

“The small “tsu” is represented by double consonants in romaji. So that’s how
you would type it.
For example, to enter たのしかったです, you would type “tanoshikattadesu”.
To enter いってらっしゃい, you would type “itterasshai”.
Just as you would spell it in romaji.
Alternatively, you can type “x” before the hiragana you want to make it small.
“tanoshikaxtsutadesu” “ixtsuteraxtsushai”
This way, you can make some other hiragana small, not just small tsu, if
there is any need for it.　(Not for all hiragana. Just some which are
sometimes written small just for visual impact.)
For example, はぁぁぁぁぁぁぁぁい！”

Oh I see, I know how to use small tsu but I thought it was more than that, amazing.
Started yesterday, learned all kana in hiragana yesterday so I’m still new at this.
I thank you.

You can also write any small hiragana character by typing ‘x’ first and then the character. Useful for some of the katakana words like パーティー where OS X doesn’t seem to recognise the ‘ti’ sound.

Japanese IMEs don’t recognise “ti” as being 「ティ」because there is a different roumaji system some people use where ち = ti, し = si and つ = tu. Personally, I think it’s pretty stupid, but some people, for whatever reason, use it.
