My penname is Suishou Yuki （水晶雪）and my nickname is Haruka. I’ve been playing at learning Japanese for several years now and have only really gotten serious about it the past year or so (2010-now) because I joined a subtitle group as a translator. Just translating songs helped me greatly last year, and I found JapanesePod101.com, which is great, and then not too long ago I stumbled onto one of Koichi’s videos. It didn’t take very long for me to join TextFugu after that! Needless to say, I’ve learned a lot more since, and I still haven’t been giving it my all.

I guess the point of saying all of that is that I feel that I can now put forth the effort to properly learn Japanese!

For perhaps more interesting things, I am an artist, singer/songwriter, and dancer; I also write and I manage a few websites and groups.
I have a Japanese language blog, but I don’t post in it like I want to…I also have a blog on Ameba, but since I’m not proficient in Japanese yet it’s a bit difficult for me to post there…

Hello!Fansubs is probably more popular. Subtitles really are a lot more difficult than they seem to be! I really appreciate our typesetters and encoders.

As you can see, I belong in the AKB派. I know virtually nothing about MM, but thanks to NSK’s daily livestreams (NewSchoolKaidan), I’ve seen a few MM shows or H!P stuff. Also I mean I kinda loop together scanlations along with subbing because they have like specialized jobs, special process, fan based effort etc. but obviously the differences between the 2 are there with subbing being the much more difficult process.

So even though I don’t really like MM and know nothing about them, I really do appreciate the effort that you guys are putting into for the fans.

With that said, welcome to Textfugu and now I await the arrival of more AKB fans
