I am in college and majoring in Computer Science. I took a Japanese class already at college, but I didn’t feel like it was enough and wanted to learn more. After researching, I stumbled upon this website and quickly realized the potential of learning it contains if I discipline myself.

By looking at my username, you can guess that I do play World of Warcraft. :) That is one of a few games that I play and enjoy. But to focus on why I am introducing myself is to let everyone know why I am learning Japanese.

“Why are you learning Japanese?”

In order to learn another language; I have always been interested in the Japanese culture because of I grew up using the games they created and watched the shows they made. Because of this, I want to learn more about the culture and possibly visit it one day. It would be really neat to be a computer programmer or some type of programming translator using Japanese Language, since I am CONSTANTLY involved with anything Japanese on a daily basis.

Yeah… my answer is really textbook written, like something you would write and turn it in to a teacher. But, that is me in a nutshell. Nice to meet everyone in the TextFugu community.
