I’ve just joined to further my Japanese learning. I have been trying for the last couple of months with a couple of books, but this site looked like a better idea, so here I am!
My ultimate goal is to live and work in Japan.

I’m 30, work in retail (have done for a long while), I love movies, music, football, F1 and video games. I love using twitter and thats how I came about tofugu and now textfugu!

I have a great enthusiasum for Japan and have done for many years. I love the culture and the people – everyone I have the had the pleasure to speak to from Japan has been so friendly and welcoming. I think learning the language is a great extension of this passion!

I have listerned to a little Japanese music – more j-pop really, but I need to get into the rock side of things. One of my favourite bands are Foo Fighters, so hoping I can find a Japanese version :)
