My name is Rene. I’ve been reading Tofugu for a while now and finally gathered the courage (and the funds) to join. I’ve been wanting to learn Japanese for a while now. I love watching anime thanks to my younger brother. I learned hiragana/katakana prior to joining but haven’t been able to keep up on much due to life taking over. :D So now I’m back in charge and would like to learn Japanese not only for the awesome shows, but because I would like to visit Japan within the next 5 years.
