What is the most widely used kana font? Does the way Japanese is written depend on location, topic etc…? I mean, some fonts are easier to understand than others.

A lot of those fonts look more like scratchy handwriting.

Also, although there may be a popular group of fonts used in most web pages or street signs, things change quite a bit when it comes down to images with logos, business signage, etc
