The idea of these mini lessons is to help you think and help you to try and figure out some answers by yourself. At the very least, you can read answers by others, read discussion about the answer, and see how people think about answering the question. Sometimes, just seeing how someone thinks is a great way to learn, though you’ll eventually want to jump in on the action yourself, if you can.

These won’t necessarily be easy, and they won’t necessarily be hard, but they should provide some small, consistant practice.

Also, the idea is it won’t take me very long to make these (sorry!), because I need to be spending time on lessons, kanji, and other cool things like that. I’m pulling these sentences from j-drama, blogs, movies, etc., I’ll post the answer up the next day and then mark the post as answered.

Probably won’t be doing these on weekends, but will try my best to make sure I integrate these into my daily routine so you get them four or five days a week. The rest is up to you. Good luck – interested to see where this will go!

This should be interesting…

Are they going to be basic sentences (beginners) or more complex sentences (intermediate/advanced)?

Prolly more along the lines of intermediate, though things will mix back and forth.

I think beginners will get something out of it too, though – just seeing how people think out the answers and consistantly looking at sentences like this should be helpful.

I think parts of the sentences will be beginner level, and then the entire sentence will probably be more like intermediate level. Might be some advanced stuff thrown in, but we’ll see. Perhaps it could be like the NYtimes crossword puzzle, which gets harder as the week goes on? :D Not sure if I have the patience to schedule and figure everything out like that, but I’ll definitely try to mix it up!

I really like this idea, especially if the sentences are more intermediate and taken from real Japanese media :)
