I spoke with a friend yesterday about kanji radicals, who mentioned there is a radical order that is often used in dictionaries. Is there a specific order to the radicals, or are they simply ordered by stroke count? Is it important to learn the radicals in the order presented on TextFugu?

Thanks!

It’s only important to learn the order if you plan on frequently using paper dictionaries.

yup yup, *agrees with kyle*

Also, the radicals your friend is talking about are probably somewhat different from textfugu radicals, tho I dunno if you’re comparing / asking about that.
