I want to hear all of your favorite proverbs and, why they are your favorite.
At the current, my favorite, is as follows.

“明日の事を言うと天井の鼠が笑う”
‘If you speak of tomorrow, the rats in the ceiling will laugh.’

I have always liked this one because, it seems just plain goofy to my simpleton mind.
