I’ve been studying Japanese for about a year or so, but I hadn’t been making progress until I bought WaniKani and started studying Tae Kim’s Grammar Guide more intensely. I’m going to Japan in November, and by then I hope to be able to hold a conversation solely in Japanese. I have a basic/intermediate understanding of grammar, and I don’t know very many Kanji. I bought TextFugu because it seems like a more comprehensive and engaging textbook compared to Tae Kim’s guide, which is more technical. I plan to use WaniKani, KaniWani, and multiple listening resources along with TextFugu.
