Hi Guys!
I started learning Japanese with the Pimsleur Japanese Vol1 CD and as little as I learned from it, it really made me enthusiastic about learning Japanese. When I started doing lessons on TextFugu things started to fall into place and I just can’t get enough of everything Japanese.
I spend 40 minutes in the car to and from work each day and feel I could really make use of this time for my studies.
If anyone could point me in the direction of some audio based learning resources I would be very grateful… I’m just about to start Season2 Chapter5 if this helps :)
ありがとうございます
(p.s I’m not sure if this question has been asked previously, this forum needs a search :P )-

January 26, 2012 at 12:31 pm #25815A lot of people like JapanesePod101, I guess you can rip a bunch of them to a CD and play them in the car? If your car can play MP3 files then that is even easier!

I’ll check it out, thanks Yggbert
January 26, 2012 at 2:30 pm #25826I second the nomination for JapanesePod101 if you’re looking for audio lessons. You’ll have to search around a bit to find out which level you should start at, based on your existing knowledge. But it’s a cool website.
January 27, 2012 at 1:17 am #25847Is it worth getting a subscription? I see that you can export a feed of all the lessons you want if you do join…
I just want to load my iPhone up really..
January 27, 2012 at 1:48 am #25849JapanesePod101 is great, really good stuff there.
I’m not sure whether this is worth it seeing as you already did Pimsleur, but Michel Thomas method was also pretty good.-

January 27, 2012 at 9:30 am #25854Eddie, the cheapest way of getting a subscription is to sign up for a free account and then let your trial expire. Check your email everyday because they will send bigger and bigger discounts each day to get you to come back. Wait until you can afford one of the discounts and then sign up for a Basic account. It’s a lot cheaper than Premium and it sounds like you just need the podcasts themselves and maybe the PDFs (both included in basic). You should be able to get a year’s subscription for $25 or something. It’s totally worth every penny!
