My name is Elisabeth, and I am 22 years old.
I want to learn Japanese because I want to travel to Japan someday, and to be able to understand the lyrics of my favorite Japanese songs.I’m excited about learning Japanese here :)

Well, I’ve been an avid fan of some Japanese bands within the Visual Kei scene for a long time (over 6 years), and I love the music so much that I’ve almost neglected my favorite Western bands/artists. Nowadays though, while I still primarily listen to J-rock, I listen to Western music occasionally as well.
The J-rock bands I like to listen to are so many, but the favorites are BORN, SCREW, Sadie, the GazettE, NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST, DuelJewel, MEJIBRAY, ALSDEAD, LUCHe., and Royz
March 22, 2014 at 1:47 pm #44543Sadie and the GazettE are two of my favorite bands! Haha! I got into Japanese music via Vk as well, Malice Mizer, Dir en Grey, and Buck Tick being my obsessions. :P I’ve somehow managed to migrate into the wagakki VK style? ….and K-Pop, but that’s beside the point. XP
March 23, 2014 at 7:08 am #44549Good day.
I also just arrived, but still, welcome:)
Getting into Japanese music is probably a good idea, that was a big part of going from only understanding Norwegian to getting English.
Hope you enjoy your stay.Lykke til^^
March 23, 2014 at 8:13 am #44552I have memorized the Hiragana chart, so now I am able to read Hiragana. Still learning Katakana, though.
