Hey could someone help us out here and just explain this Lang 8 correction for me? It’s the end of the sentence after the ‘but’, ‘が’.
English: …but it Was too expensive.
Here’s what I wrote:
高いかったです。
What they corrected it as:
高すぎました。
And this one. English: …but it was closed.
Here’s what I wrote:
しめました。
What they corrected it as:
しまっていめました
Are these corrections dictated by the earlier part of the sentence? Or is it practically its own sentence when it’s separated by the ‘が’ as ‘but’?
Thanks.
Rhys.
