Hey Koichi and Hashi! I’ve asked you guys before, and you said you were working on an iPhone application, and that’s great. But some questions / suggestions:
1. How long until the app comes out?
2. Can you make it so you can download some of the lessons so you can read them when you don’t have a data connection?
3. Can you include a Japanese phrasebook / dictionary / travel assistant thing which is available offline? Thanks guys.

February 7, 2012 at 4:14 pm #26416There is already an iOS app that we could use for TextFugu but the powers that be here would need to enable XML-RPC services.
February 9, 2012 at 4:03 am #26506I would love this. Sadly I’m one of those really annoying ‘addicted to my iphone / everything it does is magic’ people.
February 9, 2012 at 7:54 am #26517I’ve used the site on my phone like twice before just using the web browser and it worked perfectly, as for #3 you can already get many many many phrase books on iOS and Android to be fair.

orly? Tell me more.
February 9, 2012 at 10:59 am #26530If the XML-RPC services were enabled we could use this app.
February 9, 2012 at 2:31 pm #26572Interesting! I’ll try it out with our test site and see what it looks like.
April 16, 2012 at 6:46 pm #29523Honestly, I can’t wait for an Android app. It would benefit, so much, the people that are students that want to learn Japanese on the go. I may learn Android programming if it would benefit this cause. :)
April 16, 2012 at 7:00 pm #29527Just reading the site on a phone is cool, but streamlining the whole thing into its own app would be even cooler. The whole site (most likely) is out of the question, but study tools for on the go would be rock solid.
April 16, 2012 at 10:28 pm #29536Would welcome TextFugu if it were available on both smartphones and tablets in the future.
April 17, 2012 at 2:00 pm #29643Wait what about Windows Pho………..
Nevermind..
April 17, 2012 at 3:44 pm #29648The TextFugu Windows Phone app will come out right after the TextFugu Blackberry, webOS, and Moblin apps.
May 20, 2012 at 12:56 pm #31005I wish this forum had “like” buttons, just so I could click the one on Hashi’s last post in this thread.

Crystal. Reason: obsessive grammatical clarification
May 28, 2012 at 2:23 pm #31230Just got an iphone (partly so that I can text people in Japanese), looking forward to a streamlined TextFugu. I was somewhat annoyed that Anki costs £17 though.
