May 23, 2011 at 5:27 pm #11099What are you studying? I’m going to prepare for my Japanese final tomorrow by going through potential form mostly and doing some review. May 23, 2011 at 5:28 pm #11100I’m trying to catch up with my RTK reviews. 600 cards left and counting… May 23, 2011 at 5:30 pm #11102Finishing up the verb lists and the 4 stroke Kanji. Almost done.. May 23, 2011 at 5:42 pm #11106Finished with my old text book and jumped to a new one (Japanese for Busy People) for a different perspective. Just reading through all the dialogues and taking the chapter quizzes looking for things I don’t know yet. May 23, 2011 at 6:17 pm #11128Trying out the first few lessons in RTK, and trying to find the best pen to write with (micron art pens seem decent) May 23, 2011 at 7:20 pm #11140Going through the four-stroke Kanji before I finally start in on the い-adjectives. May 23, 2011 at 8:45 pm #11164Working on the last bit of い adjective vocab and learning how to conjugate them. May 23, 2011 at 8:48 pm #11166Hmm, I’m trying to study Katakana. I’m not sure when Koichi actually goes over it in the lessons and I feel I should learn it as soon as possible. So I’m trying to go about that as best I can. xD Not sure if it’s the smartest thing to do right now though. May 23, 2011 at 8:54 pm #11168I really need to clean my room but after that I’m continuing with RTK :3 May 23, 2011 at 9:39 pm #11173Studying my four stroke Kanji, finishing up memorizing my い and な adjectives/conjugations. I am also reading and working through a couple additional textbooks when I don’t feel like staring at the computer or memorizing my TextFugu vocabulary! May 23, 2011 at 9:55 pm #11174@Miki: You go through it pretty early, but yeah thats the right attitude. Kana is a great first step. May 23, 2011 at 10:38 pm #11178@Sheepy: Thanks for reassurance! I feel a lot better continuing with that now, since I was a bit on edge wondering if it would just be better to follow the lessons faithfully. But it seemed to make sense to me, since I’ve noticed that Katakana is actually used quite a bit mixed in with Hiragana. May 24, 2011 at 2:53 am #11197@Miki, you’re doing the right thing. Learn Hiragana and Katakana as early as you can as it will help hugely as time goes on. I’m going to be reviewing my Japanese words from Anki (I review once, then review early) and I’m going to write this weeks kanji a few times, then try and write them from memory. May 24, 2011 at 5:54 pm #11298Katakana is fun because it means you can read a lot of stuff in Japanese easily. Also I just finished my Japanese final. Did ok, although the moment I walked into my home I realised I stuffed up a few of the small questions. (Damn you なんなんです!!!) May 24, 2011 at 7:38 pm #11303I finally started on the い-adjectives. Yay! More ways to describe things (and more grammar stuff to learn)! (I’m also getting way ahead of myself by learning grammar stuff that’s past my level, but that keeps it interesting, so it’s all good)
