    Haha, but as Portuguese, French and Spanish are all Latin-based it is easier for a native speaker of one to learn another, I spent a long time to improve my English and it is much closer to my native language than Japanese, so I guess I may take a long time to be able to hold a conversation, or even being able to read hiragana in an acceptable speed lol

    5 years in English, but I was 5 when I started so it was a bit harder, in Spanish I already was pretty confident by the first year due to the similarities to my native language.

    Thanks ^^ I learned it later, my first foreign language was English which I did learn while growing up, although Portuguese and Spanish are very similar.
