No there are no Japanese Gardens in Idaho. At least not any that are worth mentioning in any Japanese Garden journals or ranking lists etc.
I have actually visited the Portland Japanese Garden. I thought it was an absolutely stunning garden and enjoyed my visit very much. That was the summer of 2010. I could easily see myself going back for another visit.

As was suggested, I downloaded and am using Evernote to use as my Japanese language log and keep all my notes, observations etc. I’d never hear of it before but I find I am really liking the program.
I literally just started, so I have no idea when I will start using programs like Anki or Smart.fm dictionaries are always nice so I’ll have to check that link out. I suppose TextFugu will point me in the right direction when I need to start looking into these sorts of things.
