Meaning: Doing
The leader samurai didn’t become leader by sitting around not taking action. He got to where he is by doing.
Think through all the doing he may have done in this past. Not all of it was easy, but it was actions, not sitting that moved him forward in life… just like with you! Learning kanji is about action, not about waiting. Learn a bit every day and good things will happen.
Reading: し
When remembering the reading し we use Charlie “Sheen.” – You go to visit the leader samurai who’s known for doing rather than waiting. You walk into his room, and he’s facing away from you. When he turns to face you, it’s Charlie Sheen sitting there. He’s the samurai leader… what the!
You!? YOU are the samurai leader? Charlie Sheen!?? Be awe struck. This is worse than Tom Cruise being the last samurai.
