Meaning: Scold
There’s seven mouths surrounding you. All of them are doing the same thing, and that is scolding you.
What’s something bad you did recently? Imagine them scolding you about that. Feel some guilt and use that to help yourself remember these seven mouths. Think about how you have to sit through seven scolding mouths before they let you go. How irritating!

The on’yomi reading isn’t important enough to learn. Let’s move on to the vocab and kun’yomi.
Vocabulary
Learn this one word before moving on… don’t make me scold you.
a 叱る(しかる)= To Scold
- Meaning: The meaning is the same as the kanji, but verb mode.
- Reading: For the reading, you have to remember the しか part. I’d recommend doing your best for a couple seconds, but ultimately leaving things up to the study deck.
