Meaning: Husband
The husband radical and the husband kanji are the same. How useful, unlike some husbands, I imagine.

Reading: ふ
To remember ふ, we use the word “fool” – So, you have your husband . . . what are most husbands? They are fools (ふ). Also, more often than wives, husbands are caught fooling around, being cheaters. What fools.
It’s pretty easy to associate husband and fool. Poor guys.

- Meaning: The meaning is the same as the kanji (just like most single-kanji vocab words are).
- Reading: The reading is the kun’yomi reading (also just like most single-kanji vocab words are). What does your husband eat? Only a single oat (おっと) a day. How does he survive?
a 大丈夫（だいじょうぶ）＝ alright, okay
- Combo: 大 (big) + 丈 (measurement) + 夫 (husband)
- Meaning: . . . because if your husband is tall, everything will be alright (girls like tall husbands in Japan, for some reason . . . )
- Reading: You don’t actually know the kanji 丈 because it’s pretty much only useful in this word. So, spend a couple minutes looking at this word. It’s useful, and it’ll have to be learnt straight up, because it has a kanji in it you don’t know. Maybe this will make you feel grateful that you don’t have to learn every word / kanji this way . . . I think that’s what normal people do. Ewww.
