| n/i | いそが.しい | + 亡 |
Meaning: Busy
You will meet your death via a fish stick. It’ll come flying at your eye, but you’ll be too busy to notice.
Imagine yourself at a desk, working ridiculously hard. You have so much to do. It’s like you’re in fast motion to finish everything up. Then, when you look up you see the fish stick flying into you, which kills you. If only you weren’t so busy maybe you’d see it coming earlier.
Reading: n/i
No important on’yomi for this one – just a kun’yomi to learn (the kun’yomi is really important, though – common word!)
Vocabulary
Only one word, but a ridiculously useful one.
a 忙しい(いそがしい)= Busy
- Meaning: Same as the kanji.
- Reading: You have to remember いそが to get the kun’yomi. It’s a long one, but do your best to memorize it right now. Five minutes from now, try recalling it. Ten minutes after that, do it again… whatever you can do to learn this reading will be good. It’s a great word, unless you’re super lazy, then it’s not that useful, I guess.
