Meaning: Teach
There’s a child in a coffin in the winter. You’re looking at this child in this coffin, and it’s freezing cold. What are you doing standing over this frozen child in a coffin? You’re trying to teach him about not staying out in the cold.
Imagine yourself doing this but also think about the absurdity of the situation. The kid’s dead, obviously, but you’re still trying to teach that kid something about life. Won’t help, unfortunately.
Reading: きょう
To remember the reading きょう we use the word 今日 (same reading, means today!). – When you’re done teaching the child whatever you’re teaching him, stand up and walk away while saying “that’s it for 今日! I’ll be back tomorrow to teach you more.”
Also think about how silly it is to tell him that’s it for today, because he hasn’t been listening this whole time anyways.
