Other

Meaning: Other

The leader of alligators… he’s no ordinary leader, that’s for sure. He’s not a politician.. he’s not a king… He’s one of the Other Ones, a group of strange, eccentric people who become leaders of animals.

Imagine different groups of leaders – they’re all dressed nice and normal. Then, off to the side are the leaders who are leaders of bears, cats, alligators, and narwhals… they’re the other ones, no matter how you look at it. They are in their own group, and they are considered “others” because society won’t accept them :(

Reading: た

The leader of the “others” is Tod (た), and he talks to nobody but himself. When you leave him (because you’ve figured out he’s crazy, and you don’t want him leading you), he waves and screams “TA TA!!” (た) to you in the most annoying voice you’ve ever heard.

  • Reading: The two on’yomi, mashed up and put in a stew.

a その他(そのた)= Otherwise, Besides

  • Meaning: Kind of like saying “that other” thing I was talking about …
  • Reading: Just the on’yomi added onto その… though, let me throw you a curveball. This can also be pronounced そのほか
