Meaning: Duty
You have a leader who is a king, this makes sense. But, he’s a bit deformed (look at the king part of the kanji, a bit weird). Despite being deformed, he still ran the kingdom, even though his face was crazy. Whenever it was time, he did his duty for the kingdom, even though his people feared him.
Imagine a scene where the people are shunning him and don’t want to look at him, but he’s still like “I must do my duty, or else!” and then he goes and does awesome things.
Reading: にん
にん is 人 (person). You know that by now, right? This king, he may be deformed, but he’s still a person (にん), too, you know!
Get to know him a bit more, maybe you’ll see that he’s a person too.

There’s two words to learn the meanings of, but you should try to learn the readings as well if you can.
a 任せる（まかせる）＝ Leave it to me
- Meaning: Your duty? Leave it to me, you say!
- Reading: You have to remember the まか part. What is someone leaving to you? You are the “mocker” (まか) who has to mock the prisoners into spilling th beans. Imagine the scenario playing out, and them all calling you “the mocker” (because you’re good at what you do).
a 人任せ（ひとまかせ）＝ Leave it to others
- Combo: 人 (person) + 任せ (leave it to someone)
- Meaning: You’re leaving it to a person (you’re relying on them to do something… aka their duty).
- Reading: If you know the reading of 任せる you can figure out the reading of this (I’m assuming you know the reading of 人 already).
