Meaning: Meet
You found two hat piles. They’re so lonely and alone. You decide it’s time they meet. Set up a date (in your imagination, of course) for the two hat piles. You know they’ll be perfect for each other. Then, be there when they finally meet each other.
Have the meeting be awkward. What do hat piles talk about? Why are these hat piles sentient in the first place? Make it weird, awkward, and uncomfortable. It’ll help you to remember the meaning better.
Reading: かい
When we want to remember the reading かい we use the word “coyote” (which is pronounced like “kai-oh-tee”).
When the two hat piles meet each other, they hit it off alright… as they’re talking, a coyote suddenly jumps out, tears apart one of the hat piles, and runs off.
Of course, focus on the surprise a coyote could get into the meeting place. Also focus on the coyote tearing apart one of these sentient hat piles. Have it scream. Have the other one yell something like “COYOTE?? Our greatest threat!” while it tries to run away. Make the breaking of the meeting all about the coyote to help you to remember the reading.
