西

West

on’yomi kun’yomi Radicals
せい にし 西

Meaning: West

The west radical and west are the same in looks as well as and meaning.

Make sure you know all those radicals, will make your life more pleasant.

Reading: せい

To remember the reading せい we use “Hard Gay” because he always says “sei sei sei!!!” – What’s to your West? Think about the globe, and just keep going West until you hit Japan. Imagine Hard Gay (せい) standing on top of the image of Japan, thrusting his hips and saying “SEI SEI SEI!!”

Make it as odd as possible. Already pretty odd, thinking of a guy standing on a country on a globe, not to mention a weird guy like Hard Gay, but the stranger you make it in your mind, the more likely you are to remember it later!
