Common On’yomi

There are on’yomi that are really common… so common they show up over and over and over again in the many kanji that exist. For these on’yomi, we’ll use a set mnemonic for every kanji, making it easier to understand. These are the “common” on’yomi:

いん: innocence or innocent

う: uni (sea urchin, sold at sushi places)

か: car

き: key

きゅう: cute

けい: KKK (Ku Klux Klan)

さ: saw

しゃ: shadow

せい: “SEI SEI SEI” from Hard Gay

そう: sew (as in sewing a shirt)

そん: son

asd
