Meaning: Add
There’s someone with something called the “power mouth.” It’s a mouth that crushes anything. In fact, you can add anything to it and the power mouth lady will crush it for you.
Focus on the adding of things. Add one thing after another and watch them get crushed. Rocks? No problem. Glass? EZPZ. Add some more things, okay?
Reading: か
Then you think, “what can I add that she definitely won’t be able to crush with her power mouth?” I know, a car (か). So, you shove a car into her mouth, and guess what? She crushes it… She crushes it real good.
Feel the shock and awe you’d feel if you saw this happening. First, you can add anything to her mouth, and she’ll crush it. Second, you added your car to her mouth, and she crushed that too… Crap, how will you drive home, now?
Vocabulary
Only one vocab word to learn for this one right now, and it’s the kun’yomi version of this kanji. Other words will start popping up, though, as soon as you learn more kanji.
a 加える(くわえる)= To Add
- Meaning: The same as the kanji, but the verb form of it.
- Reading: The reading is the kun’yomi reading. You have to remember the くわ part of the word to get the reading (since the rest is in hiragana). I’d recommend doing your best right now, but then using your study cards to help with the rest.
