Meaning: History

This mouth is a treasure, because of all the history it’s able to say and share.

Imagine someone who’s really old, talking about things from a hundred years ago. It’s not often you get first hand accounts of things from that far back. This history is treasure, and it comes out of that old person’s mouth.

Reading: し

When we need to remember し we use “Sheen,” as in “Charlie Sheen.” – The strange thing about this history that the old person is saying, though, is that Charlie Sheen (し) is in a ton of the stories… could it be that he’s some kind of ancient alien?

Listen to the stories this old person’s saying… go through them in your mind. Add Charlie Sheen in there whenever you can, replacing other figures in history that actually should be there.

Vocabulary

No vocab to be learned right now. When you learn some more kanji, you can look forward to 史 coming up again, though. It’s not history, yet…
