Counting And Numbers

“If you want to feel rich, just count the things you have that money can’t buy.” - Proverb

The numbers of pi

To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure how I feel about you learning numbers. All in all, they’re kind of useless (well, not useless, but they won’t get you really far for the time spent), and most people have you learn it right away. So, why add numbers now if they’re “useless.” Answer: I think I’ve figured out a much better way to learn them, so I think it’ll be worthwhile.

Here’s some of my notes on “numbers” so you can get an idea of what we’ll be doing.

  • Should learn numbers out of order so you don’t have to count starting from one in order to remember seven.
  • Should intro “counters” a bit.
  • Should learn a few ways to actually use the numbers learned (as in grammar, yum).

Anyways, just follow along and go with the flow. You’ve already (in theory) learned some of the numbers in the kanji section (and you’ll continue to do so, this chapter is a little different than that), so hopefully you have a little head start. Anyways, time to crush this.
