If you can do that, you can also work with これ, それ, and あれ.
これ は ＿＿＿＿ です ＝ This is a ________.
それ は ＿＿＿＿ です ＝ That is a ________.
あれ は ＿＿＿＿ です ＝ That over there is a _________.
As you can see, it’s just the AはB pattern, where これ, それ, and あれ are the A’s in these sentences. Of course, the AはB pattern doesn’t always have to be positive, it can be any of the other noun tenses you learned throughout this season.
How would you say “This is not _____.”?
これ は ＿＿＿＿ じゃありません ＝ This is not _________.
How would you say “That was _______.”?
それ は ＿＿＿＿ でした ＝ That was ________.
How would you say “That over there was not _______.”?
あれ は ＿＿＿＿ じゃありませんでした ＝ That over there was not _____.
