Group 1 Verbs Conversion Practice
“The reason why worry kills more people than work is that more people worry than work.” – Robert Frost
Before you learn how to use it in grammar, let’s practice converting verbs to passive form. We’ll start easy, breaking the verbs up into sections (separating group 1 and group 2), but then after that we’ll do a mix, just because you won’t be told when a verb is group 1 or group 2 out in the real world. Let’s get started.
Let’s convert Group 1 verbs. Just click on the verb to see the answer below it. I’ll start with an example:
行く → a 行かれる
のむ → aのまれる
入れる
a入られる
おとす
aおとされる
やく
aやかれる
はなす

返す
a返される
たおす
aたおされる
きく
aきかれる
こわす
aこわされる
よごす

Group 1 verbs are the harder verbs, so if you managed through this, you’ll breeze through the next page.
