What You’re Going To Do

“If you’re going through hell, keep going.“ - Winston Churchill

The title of this chapter actually has a couple of meanings, both completely different from each other.

It starts off by talking about vocabulary, and how it will be tackled in this season. As you know, Season 3 starts you on the road to mega-vocab land, meaning you’ll be learning a lot of vocabulary. Although it will take a lot of discipline to make sure you get through it all without feeling overwhelmed, I’m going to tell you what you need to do to make it happen. You’ll also learn why these vocab words are going to be so important to you (and how they’re going to really accelerate your Japanese language learning). Learn the vocab provided in this season and you’ll be golden.

The second “What You’ll go Do” meaning is a little more literal. You’re going to learn the grammar that will allow you to say “go do ______” where the blank is what you’re going to go do. It’ll let you practice stem form, your verbs, and make your use of verbs a little more flexible. It’s a short and easy grammar point which I think you’ll catch on to quickly, and that’s why the other half of this chapter is all about verbs vocab. More on that in just a bit.

At this point, I hope you prepare your mind for some hard work -  always remember the end goal, and imagine how it’ll feel to be able to communicate in Japanese. It’ll be awesome, and if you follow along I’m going to get you there pretty quickly.

Alright, let’s learn about the vocab list and how to use it. We’re going to level up your Anki skills so that you can learn more words, stay organized, and customize what you study depending on what you’re having trouble with.

By finishing this page, you’ll know what’s going on with this chapter and be able to get ready for vocab-land
