つもりですが

“There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.” – Oscar Wilde

Let’s try another one. This time we’ll be playing around with planning. So, what kinds of things could you plan and then have something happen…?

a 京都きょうとに行くつもりでしたが行きませんでした。
I planned to go to Kyoto but I didn’t go.

a 「ゲームオブスローンズ」を見るつもりですが時間がありません。
I plan to watch “Game Of Thrones” but I don’t have time.

a 新しい机を作るつもりですが明日ハワイに行きます。
I plan to make a new desk but tomorrow I will go to Hawaii.

This works in just the same way as everything before it. It’s a little more complicated because the two sentences you’re combining are a little more complicated, but nothing that should be too difficult for you if you’ve been keeping up.

Come up with three more sentences that use つもり and が in them, just like the examples above. If you want them corrected stick them into Lang-8.
