Practice

From から

Let’s throw you right into the proverbial fire (ouch! 火からげましょう!). I’ll help you out, though.

For this exercise I want you to write a journal entry (on Lang-8, if you don’t mind) and get it corrected. Why? Because it’s time to plan out your future…

今日から… What will you do from today?

明日から… What will you do from tomorrow?

今年から… What will you do from this year?

7時から… What will you do from 7:00 (or some other time)?

Think about goals you have. Think about what you plan (つもり) to do. For what purpose (ために) are you doing these things? Also try to get て-formから in there as well. Right after you do ____ what will you do next?

Wait for it to get corrected. See what you did wrong and learn from those mistakes.

This practice page is short because there’s another から coming up in the next chapter, so you’ll be able to use that to continue your practices. That being said, it’s important to figure out what you’re doing wrong (thus the journal entry) so that you can apply that corrected knowledge to the next section (which I think gets a teensy bit more complicated).
