“Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” – Stephen Hawking
You’re sitting on a planet millions of light years away from earth. Why? Because you’re an alien looking to conquer another planet (you’ve grown bored with the one you’re on. The beings here are too… squishy). When you look at earth through your fancy alien telescope you see it over there doing its thing. But, you’re also moving as well. Because you and earth are so far apart, time moves differently for each of you. Due to this mistake you arrive at earth too late, and there’s actually nothing left to conquer.
The real question here is “what is time?” And, “how do I communicate it?” Is it actually today or is it tomorrow?
今日は今日ですか?
今日は明日ですか?
今日は未来ですか!!??
Those answers are so hard to answer. But, luckily we can talk about time in terms of how we’re experiencing it. Hopefully that makes everything seem so much easier for you.
Years
Let’s start off big, but not too big. A year is a good amount of time to have to think about. It really sums things up for a person.
