Season 8 Review

“Enjoy life. There’s plenty of time to be dead.” – Hans Christian Andersen

Well well. A season has come and gone. Some would say it’s passed through time, but I say it passed through that brain of yours (and some stuck, hopefully). It feels weird to cover an entire subject over the course of a season, but hopefully you learned everything really well. Like I mentioned before, some people spend years (that’s 年s) being bad at time. I hope your incubation period is more like ヶ月s.

Anyways, you’re at the cusp of season 9. What does that mean? Well, it means it’s time to start getting your little wings ready to fly. I’m going to have to push you out of the nest a little bit. Sorry, that’s what mama-birds do, otherwise baby-birds never fly and grow obese in their nest, so much so that the branch the nest is on breaks, thus killing everyone.

So, time to fly little birdy. Season 9 is where “story time” begins (well, technically it starts on the Season 8 practice page, but we’ll pretend for now, little bird). This is where you’ll be learning new things but you’ll also be forced to learn some other new things on your own. It will also make you gain more reading experience, inside and outside of TextFugu. Basically, I’m going to start throwing things at you and you’ll have to catch as much as you can.

Don’t worry, it’ll start off slow. Some nice underhand pitches… then, it will start to speed up. Each step of the way you should get a little better, making you ready for the speed increase. Then, you’ll start throwing things back at me. At that point, I’ll probably run and hide.

Ready to jump for the first time little birdy? Go ahead. Let me give you a push…
