Okie doke, から, can someone describe for me the different uses for this? I know it supposedly means ‘from’ but when I read it, it doesn’t seem to belong, so I figure I must be reading incorrectly.

It’s also a very common particle used to connect two sentences to express a reason for something, in a similar way to the English word “because”.

I suggest reading though the section ‘Expressing reason or causation using 「から」 and 「ので」’ on the following page:

    Quite!

Yeah, I was actually thinking about some grammar that gives me problems, and wouldn’t you know it, Koichi did a lesson on ために yesterday. That made my day. Just shows how awesome this site is. Today I started to realize, also, how awesome the forum can be. Bwahahahaa.
    Thanks again.

    Why thank you sir!
Yeah, grammar isn’t my strong suit. I’ve been mainly keeping up with kanji. Which I’m almost done with the Joyo, so I’m still a bit rusty with grammar. Bwahaha—-
