In the Season 5 worksheet changing Group 1 verbs to past negative, だまします becomes だます becomes だまった becomes だまさない. Is this incorrect? I think the た-form of だます is だました.

Where is the edit function when you need it…. I meant to write to negative casual, not negative past casual.

    だまします - >だましません

    だますー>だまさない

If you don’t have it already, this sheet from tofugu helps work things out.

To actually answer the question asked: yes, だました is correct. だまった is a misprint.

だまった is the past tense of だまる, which is a different verb altogether.

Thank you Joel, I was thinking my question wasn’t clear enough.

    Cheers,
