    こんにちは Ladies & Gents:

    Normally I wouldn’t go out of the way to ask the “internet” for assistance, but this is a particular case.

    It seems I have become a semi-finalist in a knitting contest, pretty neat right? Well to make it into the finalists, you gotta get votes, now once you’re into the finalists its up to the contest holder to decide but here is why I’m calling out… First place prize wins “A bunch of cute things from….. JAPAN!” and so does second place! I think you also get some gift certificates to some knitting places but that is NOT why I want to win. I WANT THE JAPAN GOODIES.

    So since we all have a common interest here, help a fellow textfugu-er out and give me a vote? Mine is the “Colorful TV Guy”, all you gotta do is say it in the comments and submit, super easy!

    Haha no, I think the prize is like cute Japanese folders and other little “kawaii~~~” trinkets, with a gift certificate for some online yarn store.

    Anyway, it’s a close battle!! I hope I can just barely skirt in the top 10, Thank you so much everyone!

    Update, thank you everyone for your kind gestures!

    Unfortunately, some undeserving other knitters got to win all the cute Japanese things. Sigh, not that any of it would be something I’d personally choose, but I still would have wanted it anyway.

    Also, I think TextFugu/Tofugu should maybe have some contests… nothing is more motivating than a winning title and free stuff ;P Maybe a fan art one for Christmas, so that everyone can participate/ not be limited by their skill level?

    There was a “contest” earlier this year, where they asked people reading Tofugu to write their recommendations for tools/books to use for learning Japanese. They choose random winners, but prices weren’t anything big.
