    Hi Everyone,

I’m sorry if this has already been discussed (or if we are not supposed to discuss other programs).

I am wondering what people think about the “All Japanese All The Time” Silverspoon program? I know that it is pricey, but I am wondering about its effectiveness for Japanese learning.

Part of me is suspicious because I have not been able to find any testimonials from people who have actually completed the program. Anyways, I’m curious to hear what all of you think!

There’s no problem discussing other sites or methods here.
However, AJATT silverspoon is a bit of a can of worms. Head over to the Koohii Forum, search for “Silverspoon” and prepare to lose faith in all human decency.
In regards the lack of testimonials from anyone having actually finished the program, it’s because the program has not been around long enough for anyone to finish.

Silverspoon is probably not good from what I heard. Though anything that Khatzu wrote in like 2007 is still good advice to an extent

To put it lightly, Silverspoon is GOD AWFUL.

The only reason I can imagine anyone liking it is if they like spending LOTS of money for daily lists like this:

    1) Watch this video. Just watch it.
    2) Chillax for 20 minutes while watching. Just listen if you want to.
    3) Do 5 kana in Anki
    4) Chillax for 30 minutes watching that video from earlier.

I did the program and got my money back after about 30 days of seeing more or less the same list-based BS. Oh and I forgot to mention…those videos he gives you contain ZERO Japanese instruction. It’s just low quality youtube videos (usually Japanese commercials) on endless repeat.

The premise of the program is that you can just absorb the language. Too bad no amount of absorption will teach you grammar…

    Avoid it. LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I think the idea of AJATT is really useful, and some of the posts are really interesting and motivational. Having said that, Silverspoon raises way more red flags than is acceptable. The Koohii Forum is a good place to start your research.
