    Hello Friends,

Following the advice of TextFugu, Season 1, I would like to introduce myself and tell you why I am interested in learning Japanese.

I have studied Japanese on and off for almost three years now. I took some classes from the Japan Foundation in Los Angeles, then started working on online tools like Cooori, iKnow and many others. I also discovered Wanikani and I am currently at level 5 over there.

For some reason, I always skipped grammar and I always thought I could learn it just by reading Japanese material. The problem is that without grammar, it is very very difficult to understand Japanese, even if you know many words and kanji.

This is why I decided to invest some money and get a lifetime membership with TextFugu. I love Wanikani, I love the approach that Koichi is putting into these products and I decided to give it a shot.

I want to learn Japanese because I am in love with comics and I want to be able to access the super wide panorama of manga published in Japan. I would love to get all these manga never published in the US before and read them and enjoy them. This is the main goal. Then, of course, I am in love with Japan (I am in Tokyo right now) and I would love to learn how to communicate with Japanese people.

Thanks a lot for reading this!

Welcome! Grammar’s rather important. Helps you make sentences. =P

What brings you to Tokyo? What bit? =)
