Well, I thought I’d wait until I could introduce myself properly in Japanese (other than わたしはクリスです), but that might take a few years so I’ll just go ahead in English.
Hello, I’m Chris.
I can’t quite say why I’m learning Japanese other than random events and timing, and that now I’m quite passionate about it. I discovered Textfugu over a month ago and really like the way it teaches. I’m currently going through RtK and enjoying (meaning NOT enjoying) having random symbols floating around in my head all day, and having frustrating dreams about not understanding made up Kanji.
Other than that I’m having fun. :)

I think just an interest in the culture has snowballed into something greater, not much logic behind it.
