So, in an effort to complete all assignmets from the get-go, here is my introduction:

My name is Angela and I am a wife and mother in California. I sort of stubbled upon learning Japanese but I’m hooked now. I look forward to meeting fellow learners new friends! Here is the answer for the first task:

Task: Answer the question: “Why Are You Learning Japanese?”

I had no clear goal in the beginning. I found a Hiragana learning game on my Android phone (but I’m not sure what I was looking for when I found it) and started playing it. I started getting the hang of it then it all went from there. I enjoyed the new-found knowledge and began to crave the next steps. It was an accidental hobby that has become a life goal. I have a physical disability that precludes me from working, at least with the experience and education that I have now. I had a thought that if I became fluent in Japanese that I could actually earn an income somehow, even with my physical limitations. Having said that,  my goal is simply to do my very best to acquire this skill while maintaining a level of organization and desire at a steady, progressive pace.
