From looking at some sources I know it can be used to express probability. But after a verb, csn it be used to express you will do something in the fututr

    Example
    Watashi wa taberu darou/deshou
    I will eat

    Is that correct?

Well, it expresses conjecture – “I will probably eat”. It only implies future tense in the sense that it’s a bit weird to be saying “I’m probably eating right now”.
