Does anyone know what an engineering job in Japan is like compared to say America, I’m planning on going into robotics engineering and want to do so in Japan I would like to know a bit more about the work environment there, I am personally horrible at research so I can’t find really much on it, I know that America engineering companies usually have a pretty let loose office, I know Japan is going to be a bit less let loose but I would like to know what it is actually going to be like. Thanks to all who reply!

Unfortunately, I can’t speak from personal experience, but Wikipedia’s article on the subject is actually pretty good: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_work_environment

Here’s an article on Quora by someone who’s actually working as an engineer in Japan: https://www.quora.com/What-is-it-like-working-in-Japan

In all honesty, you may find it difficult to find a job where they’re not specifically looking for an English speaker (though again, not speaking from personal experience) – given a choice between a native Japanese speaker and a non-native speaker, most companies will go for the former, even if his ability to actually do the role is not quite as good.

Thanks jole, if anyone has any more informations I’d love to hear it, better to be prepared for what you go into then to blindly think it will be fine based off of only a few sources.
