Hi – I’m a Russian-born, Australian-raised, Singaporean resident (wow, that’s a mouthful) who is madly in love with Japan and the people. I work on the Japanese market for my company and want to learn Japanese for the following goals:
    1. To interact with our advertising agency in their native language
    2. To one day work out of the Japan office
    3. To pick up Japanese girls =)
    4. To understand the culture

Key barrier for me not completing the courses: I work insane hours, and am a DJ on weekends, so finding the time to learn is difficult.

Can’t wait to meet many of you!

So, let me get this straight: you were born in Russia, raised in Australia and now live in Singapore? If so then that’s really cool!

    Welcome to TextFugu, Stas.

Good luck learning Japanese, especially with your busy schedule. :)

Welcome to the forums! You do have a very diverse background. Cool! You can still learn Japanese, even with your busy schedule. Just make sure you study while you’re not working. Grab time here and there. It will add up! Better that than waiting until you have “more time” (like that ever happens in life) only to find out you could have been fluent years ago had you started. ;)

Good luck to you! You can do it if you really want it.
