Bump. Same Problem. Had to switch back to firefox at work.
Thanks! Yeah, that’s what I’ve done too. While I’m on my PC I have a FF window open just for TF and a Chrome window open for everything else.. It’s a hassle, but it works for now. Someone told me it’s because I have Vista on my PC and W7 on my laptop, and Vista doesn’t have the proper language tools, but that doesn’t explain why TF displays correctly on FF…
It also doesn’t explain why sites other than texfugu display Japanese characters perfectly fine in Chrome. Nor does it explain why this would have only started to matter after the last update.
Merged two similar threads.
All we know right now is that it affects Chrome installations on Windows Vista and XP, but not 7 (for some reason). This makes it a bit difficult for us to test and fix because none of us at TextFugu have Vista or XP installations.
We’ll continue to try to fix it, and we’re always open to suggestions. And, as always, the best way to get a hold of Koichi or myself to talk about problems on the site it through email. I’m hashi@textfugu.com and he’s koichi@textfugu.com
