    Hello everyone!

My name is Simon and I’m from Sweden. I’m writing here as I’m really revving up to get serious with my japanese studies. I am now in Okinawa for six months on a language course (while also fleeing the swedish winter darkness and hopefully getting to do some nice diving).

I found out about Textfugu right before I left for Okinawa and was to fond of it that I decided to sign up for it as an extra language resource beside my class.

The reason for me studying japanese is mainly that I want to be able to access japanese games, literature, websites and comics without having to do so through translations. I am also very fond of the country and will probably be going here alot in the future, and I want to able to get on with the life here easily.

I look forward to taking part in discussions and read whatever interesting bits of information there might be here on this forum and I’d be happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability when it comes to the island life or anything else I might be familiar with.

Thank you for taking the time to read yet another one of all these presentations : )

    Hello, neighbour (I’m Norwegian)! Welcome!

My fiancé is from Okinawa (Miyako-jima). It’s a beautiful place!

Haha no, no need for me to flee the police. At least as far as I know ;)

Thanks, Leif. Yes, it’s very beautiful indeed! The weather has been a bit harsh the last days though, as a typhoon is dancing around just south of the islands and seems to be having some problems deciding where to go.

I saw it on the news just the other day and thought of you. The typhoon looked pretty dramatic! Everything’s alright over there? Better hold on to something! ^^
